Hello children! I'm Polaris_the_Cepheid, I live in Romania and I'm 22 years old. Throughout these years that represent my humble existence upon this wonderful Earth I had various experiences.....some were pleasant (my passion for art, my friends, Ancient Egypt etc.) and some were less pleasant (which were, mostly, some human-like or near-human creatures who had to ruin my life and the things I cherish the most). That's life! Not everything is PINK and you have to live with the risk. Deal with it!
During childhood, I (like many children), thought that a mysterious creature called 'The Boogie Man' (Bau-bau in Romanian) is going to come an get me if I didn't behave good. After I grew up a bit I realized that this 'Boogie Man' was just a mere tool used by my parents to frighten me into behaving and I began to ignore their 'warnings'. Of course when I became the Big Kid (compared to toddlers) I used the same dirty trick to scare other children intro behaving. And it worked! Wow!
  But, my dear dA friends, you are probably asking yourselves, why do I bring this topic in my journal?! Things are simple! It seems that 'The Boogie Man' is quite real, and those first hand of parents who started to use this seemingly myth to scare small innocent minds, picked up an example from real-life and, with the help of imagination, created 'The Boogie Man'.  The 'example' (or better to say, exemplar) are those people who exist upon this Earth just to consume the increasingly scarce resources of oxygen, food and water, or, to produce micro-earthquakes with their walks or falls. Personally, I've met countless of such 'exemplars'. What can I tell you about them?! Well, they look, behave (to some extent only!) and eat just like us! The biggest difference between normal people and the boogie men is mostly behavioral. Their 'instinct' (oh yeah! they don't have an intelligence, they have instinct!) is dictating every single action in their miserable life!
  Today, I've met a wonderful exemplar of this kind and I had a delightful 'conversation' (by the means of some highly literate comments here on dA) with her (if is a she, of course!). Her dA account/ID is . The full detail of this 'conversation' below:


comment #1: [link] ---> apparently had doubts about my gender and she 'politely' asked me if I'm a boy of a girl. Well, if you didn't knew, below my avatar, on my account's main page you can see the word 'Female', so I'm a GIRL!

comment #2: [link] ---> on my second comment page, you'll see again, a very 'polite' comment from the same person who is some sort of a fundamentalist Jehovah's Witness! Ok!   I really don't care about your religion or the degree of you fanaticism towards it. This is not an excuse for you to insult me, my work or other fellow deviants who came by, took a look to my work, and let a POLITE COMMENT or some CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM!

comment #3: [link] this is the most severe case! The 'civilized' discussion moves to who produced a wonderful graphite pencil drawing of the God Amun. has a 'problem' with every religious image except her own 'religion' (if she is a Jehovah's Witness) and this made her angry and verbally attacked using, again, a collection of the most 'refined' and 'select' words. How wonderful!   

  Conclusion?!   if you can't behave yourself, please, don't let us know your level of common sense. We aren't interested at all! If your narrow thinking (not religion!) doesn't allow you to accept others ideas or artistic expression  please refrain in attacking them in a zoological manner. BTW, I thing you should read 'The Maxims of Ptahhotep' and see how healthy and non-fanatic the Ancient Egyptians thought! It should be an OUTSTANDING EXAMPLE for everyone! PS: I'm expressing my sincere apologies to all my fellow dA watchers and artists who come by to take a look, but I had to write this! I don't have any problem with constructive criticism or artistic suggestions, but I have ZERO TOLERANCE on vile attacks like this. Every deviant must think and act as such. DeviantArt is a website who gave me the opportunity to share my works with fellow artists and the chance to refine my artistic skills. This is a place where artists interact in a civilized manner with each other!
